Junkai Dong

Junkai Dong will earn his doctorate in physics from Harvard University in May 2026. In his doctoral studies, he focused on theoretical and numerical analysis of two-dimensional materials. He and collaborators proposed the concept of anomalous Hall crystal, a phase that intertwines electron crystallization with nontrivial band topology. At Stanford, he will investigate how to engineer novel correlated topological phases by combining analytic insight with experimentally grounded modeling.
