Michelle Hill

Michelle Hill obtained her doctorate in Earth and planetary science from the University of California, Riverside in May 2025. During her graduate work, she investigated the conditions that could make exoplanets habitable, considering both their physical size and their position within planetary systems to better understand the range of worlds that might sustain life. Her interdisciplinary research combines astronomy, geophysics, planetary science, and atmospheric science. At Stanford, she will further investigate the lower planet size boundary of habitability.
