Peidong Wang earned a doctorate in climate science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in May 2025. His research interests lie at the intersection of atmospheric chemistry and climate internal variability. By integrating observations and model simulations, he quantifies the signal and noise of stratospheric ozone, revealing significant Antarctic ozone recovery driven by reductions in anthropogenic emissions. At Stanford, he will investigate the detection and attribution of climate extreme events and explore the role of chemistry–climate interactions in modulating climate variability.
